JapShow 2004 Review

The 2004 JapShow got off to a flying start on Saturday 19 th June at Santa Pod Raceway, with thousands of cars turning up from all over the country. The trade area was busy, the club areas were full of beautifully presented cars, and the track action was red hot, with some of the UK 's top tuner-cars represented. The action on the track suffered from a few showers, but the track crew did an excellent job of getting the track prepared again to get racing re-started ASAP. However, the changeable temperature made getting the car set up right difficult, so getting the run right was a real test of the driver's skills.

Congratulations to all the racers, the competition was tough, and the track unforgiving, but we saw some excellent action.

Off-track, the Sports-Bar hosted a video-wall with a live feed to the track (keep an eye out for this at future events!), video and bar games, and a great place to hang out and boast about the performance of cars! The pole-dancing sessions, by our resident Santa Pod babe, Emma, seemed to go down very well too! Traders did a brisk trade in car performance parts and raincoats in equal measure!

A big thanks Banzai magazine for supporting this event, and to everyone who came, there were some excellent cars represented at the show.
